The Direct Service Professional Credit Program (DSPCP)

This program is a collaboration between the Alliance, Suffolk County Community College and NCC. The DSPCP is a customized five-course continuing education certificate program that links theory with practice for employees by Alliance member agencies who work with people with developmental disabilities on Long Island. Since its inception in 2001, more than 2,500 direct care workers have participated in the program.

The Career Ladder Supervisor Program (CLP)

Under the CLP, students completing the DSPCP are offered the support to pursue an Associate’s degree in a variety of health, human services or related majors. The CLP is offered through Suffolk County Community College (Suffolk County Community College) and Nassau Community College (NCC). Upon completion, students are likely to assume more responsible positions.
